Taller varieties make excellent back-of-border anchors and provide sturdy stems perfect for cutting. These flowers also attract beneficial pollinators including butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds, contributing to a healthy garden ecosystem.

Consider pairing Helichrysum with other drought-tolerant companions that share similar cultural needs. Black-eyed Susans, yarrow, bee balm, and zinnias all make excellent companions, creating layered displays of color and texture while requiring minimal watering and maintenance. Troubleshooting common challenges

While Helichrysum is generally pest and disease resistant, a few issues can arise, usually related to cultural conditions rather than serious problems. Poor air circulation combined with high humidity can encourage fungal diseases like powdery mildew or downy mildew. If you notice white powdery patches or yellow spots on leaves, improve spacing and reduce watering frequency.
